THE MASONIC PAINTINGS
OF
ARI ROUSSIMOFF
“Freemasonry provides the finest values with which to live by and with which to enrich humanity. Freemasonry encompasses morality, philosophy, spirituality and mysticism. And all the arts and sciences. Based on the most profound biblical models, here is a way of living and seeing which has the strength to unite mankind in a far deeper and more successful manner then any political movement can ever aspire to. Masonic themes have been a constant throughout my artwork. In addition to canvasses devoted to Freemasonry, I am frequently drawn to also include Masonic subjects and symbols in some of my other paintings.”

The following paintings include references to Freemasonry:
SOUTH BEACH
30 x 40 oil on canvas
On the right side of the painting we see a group of Shriners. The colourful costumes of the Shrine have long inspired the artist.
ATLANTIC CITY
30 x 40 oil on canvas
In years past, Atlantic City served as host to Shrine conventions and parades. In memory of the boardwalk citys Shriner past, the artist shows us a solitary Shriner, seated contemplatively on the railing.
HOLLYWOOD ETERNAL
36 x 48 oil on canvas
Freemasonry figures prominently in several places within this monumental homage of the great era of Hollywood . At the bottom, wearing a Masonic Square and Compass ring and the Fez of Los Angeles El Malaikah Temples Imperial Potentate is the great actor Harold Lloyd a passionate and devoted Mason his entire life. In this work, some of the greatest film stars appear against a backdrop of Hollywood Boulevard . To the right is the old Masonic Temple (now the television studio used by Jimmy Kimmel).
SUN OVER LAS VEGAS
30 x 40 oil on canvas
Amidst the flurry of tourists and other interesting characters there are circus stars as well as several Masons wearing aprons. Also depicted is legendary midget performer Tom Thumb who was an active Knight Templar and 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. Note the two casinos featuring the Eiffel tower and the Statue of Liberty, both original buildings built by Masons in France.
